Established in February 2010, NexLube Tampa LLC is a privately held company specializing in the production and blending of motor oils and hydraulic fluids through recycling of used oil.
NexLube will use leading-edge technology to produce high quality base oil and lubricant products by the recycling of used oil. The proven technology is energy efficient, environmentally beneficial and is being used in plants in Europe, Asia and South America. The NexLube facility will be the first plant in North America to use this technology.
The first of three planned facilities will be located on a 12-acre site in Tampa, FL. Situated in the Port Sutton Area of the Port of Tampa. This deep water port provides access for feedstock, product delivery and access to all required utilities and services.
Current Status
• The Company established its corporate headquarters in Boca Raton, FL and assembled an exceptional
management team. This group of individuals brings a tremendous amount of experience and a strong
entrepreneurial background with success in starting and managing new companies in the petroleum industry.
• NexLube has completed a thorough analysis of site locations and has selected the Port of Tampa for the first of
three plant locations. The Tampa facility will have a processing capacity of approximately 24 million gallons of used
oil per year. Each of the three sites will include the following:
> Management logistics and services.
> Used oil processing unit, which is comprised of three sub-units - pre-flash, thermal de-asphalting and hydro-
finishing.
> Products blending and filling units.
> Storage facilities.
> Utilities.
> Laboratory and Quality Control.
> Administrative and Operating Offices.
• A detailed analysis of new and existing technologies for re-refining used oil has been completed and the Company
has determined that the Revivoil process developed by Viscolube / Axens is the best overall technology in terms of
production, product quality, yield and profitability.
